WILDLAND FIRES
I used to be a wildland firefighter.
Worked all over the west-- Idaho, Wyoming, California, and Washington.
Trouble is, I wanted to shoot photos more than I wanted to put out fires.

So I went back to school and studied journalism.
This lead to some pretty cool assignments-- like a trip to Egypt with the Oregon National Guard.
And a chance to photograph a wildland fire set by the Portland Fire Bureau.

- FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY
So I signed up at the New York Institute of Photography-- the oldest photo school in the nation.
Their course on Professional Photography included a section on fashion photography and I've been hooked since.
The best part about fashion is working with a crew of makeup artists and hair stylists and models and wardrobe stylists-- everyone working together to create really cool images.
Fashion is a blast to shoot when it all comes together.
I'm a skilled, professional studio and location photographer these days. I have loads of experience organizing and seeing shoots through from start to finish.

And finally, living in the Pacific Northwest, there is so much natural beauty all around.
So from time to time, I dabble in landscape photography too.
